TOUR VISUALS FOR THE FAMOUS GLAMROCK BAND ROXY MUSIC
Roxy Music - For Your Pleasure Tour
Working with Bryan Ferry on the Roxy Music – For Your Pleasure tour was a fascinating experience, especially given his background in art. With an art degree and a deep interest in the visual side of performances, Bryan brought a wealth of artistic influences to the table. He had clear ideas about incorporating elements from his favourite artists and films into the visual aspect of the show, making the collaboration all the more dynamic and inspiring.
During our time at the West London studio, we worked closely to develop a visual aesthetic that would enhance the music and create an unforgettable experience for the audience. Bryan's artistic sensibility added layers of depth to the project, from abstract shapes to references to album art and iconic film imagery. Each visual element was synchronised with the music to ensure a seamless blend of sound and sight, fully immersing the audience in the performance.
The video director Alastair MacDiarmid, incorporated a treated live camera mix feed with the visuals to create an even more layered blend on many of the songs.
The collaboration resulted in a visually spectacular tour that showcased how music and visuals can complement each other to create a truly cohesive and artistic experience. Working with someone so deeply connected to both music and visual art made this project particularly enriching.
